TDI Intro To Tech Course in Phuket, Thailand
2 days - 15900 baht
3 days - 22900 baht
The TDI Intro to Tech course is one of the most important courses which will introduce you to the essentials of technical diving.
This is an introductory course which will be super helpful for your further training in nearly any tech or cave course from TDI Advanced Nitrox and TDI Decompression Procedures to Advanced Trimix and from Cavern to Full Cave courses.
The goal of the course is to familiarize you with the features of technical diving equipment configuration and to enhance skills typical of recreational diving, such as buoyancy and balance control and emergency procedures. The course also introduces advanced dive planning within no-decompression limits.
The use of Nitrox is allowed during the course if you have the appropriate level of qualification.
Upon completion of the course, divers are authorized to rent and use technical equipment for no-decompression dives.

What you will learn during the Intro To Tech course
During the TDI Intro to Tech course, you will get acquainted with the standard technical twinset configuration. You will learn how to properly configure regulators, choose the appropriate hose lengths, use buoys and reels, and much more.
Throughout the sessions, you will learn various finning techniques – frog kick, modified frog kick, flutter kick, modified flutter kick, how to turn in place using the "helicopter turn," and how to swim backwards using the "back kick."
Special attention is given to emergency procedures (S-drill, V-drill, OOG). You will learn how to correctly share air with an out-of-gas diver and how to shut down valves on a twinset.
The course typically lasts two to three days. The course starts with technical diving equipment workshop in our Phuket office then some skills will first be practiced on land to build muscle memory before being performed in the water. During pool session you will practice basic skills, getting used to the new configuration and perform skills that you practice during "dry session". The idea is to learn how to perform basic skills staying in neutral buoyancy without moving your hands or feet.
Second and optional third day we will do ocean or lake dives. You will complete at least three dives with a maximum depth of up to 23 meters.
As one of the good options we can combine TDI Intro To Tech with Adv Nitrox and Deco Procedures Courses if you are looking to become more advanced technical diver.
This courses could also be done in the fresh water lakes of Krabi and Nakon Si Provinces of the Southern Thailand (so you definetily will not get sea sick).
