Racha Noi and Racha Yai Islands

A good choice if you have recently earned your certification, haven’t dived for a while, or simply want a relaxed day underwater.

Racha Yai has plenty of relatively easy dive sites, sandy areas and coral reefs. Racha Noi usually offers a more open-ocean feel, good visibility and interesting underwater topography. Sheltered bays provide protection from wind and waves, making diving possible throughout the year.

Suitable for: certified divers of all experience levels.

Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi is a great choice for divers looking for dramatic underwater scenery and abundant marine life.

Here you can dive along limestone walls and reefs, swim through large schools of fish, and enjoy a truly scenic day underwater. This is also one of the best areas around Phuket to encounter harmless blacktip reef sharks and sea turtles.

Suitable for: certified divers of all experience levels.

King Cruiser Wreck

A more challenging and varied route for experienced divers.

The usual itinerary includes dives on the King Cruiser wreck, Shark Point, and the wall at Koh Dok Mai.

For trips to the King Cruiser, we recommend an Advanced Open Water Diver certification or higher.

Suitable for: advanced certified divers.

Diving Trip Transfers

Regardless of where your dives take place, your morning will begin with a transfer from your hotel to Chalong port. Usually the transfer time is from 7:00 for distant hotels in the Kamala area to 7:45 in the near Kata area.

Depending on your place of residence, the transfer will take from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours. Therefore, if you are planning to go to Phuket for diving, we recommend that you stay on one of the beaches - Kata, Karon, Patong and Kamala, since transfer from these beaches to Chalong port is free.

If you plan to live in the north of Phuket in the areas of Surin, Bang Tao, Nai Thon, Nai Yang or Mai Khao, as well as in Phuket Town, Cape Panwa or Thalang, you will have to pay additional transfer fees or travel to and from the port yourself.

Dining on the Phuket dive boats

Don't worry if you didn't have time to have breakfast at the hotel - you can catch up on the ship and have breakfast before diving.

Some dive boats are even equipped with coffee machines, so you can perk up with a strong, aromatic drink before you go diving.

You won't have to go hungry during the day either - between dives you will have lunch, a variety of snacks and fruits. Tea, coffee, cocoa, and drinking water are included in the price of all trips.

Beer is not included in the price of your diving trip, so be sure to bring some small change with you to pay for what you drink at the end of the trip. We would like to remind you that alcoholic drinks can only be drunk after diving. Or instead. ;-)

If you have food allergies or are a vegetarian, please let us know and the chef will prepare the food according to your needs.

Phuket Diving trip Itinerary

Most dive sites are located at a considerable distance from Phuket. Even to the nearest island of Racha Yai, the dive boat takes almost an hour and a half, and the passage to the Phi Phi Islands can take almost three hours. So your diving trip in Phuket also turns into an exciting sea trip, during which you can chat with other divers and sunbathe on the top deck of the dive boat.

Approximate return time to Chalong Port:

  • 3 dives on the islands of Racha Noi - Racha Yai - 16:00-17:00

  • 3 dives on King Cruiser - Shark Point - Koh Doc Mai - 17:00-18:00

  • 3 dives on the Phi Phi Islands - 18:00-19:00

The time to return to port very much depends on what time the ship leaves for sea. Please try to be on time for the morning transfer - this will help the ship return to port earlier.

Don't forget to take with you:

  • swimsuit / trunks

  • towel

  • sun cream

  • headdress

  • money for beer and underwater pics- and videos (optional)

  • money for tips to the boat crew (usually 50-100 baht)

If you haven't dived for a while

If it has been some time since your last dive, just let us know when you last went diving and how many dives you have in total.

Depending on your experience, we may recommend an easier dive route, an additional briefing, or a Scuba Review / Refresher session to help you get comfortable again.

The main goal is to make sure your first dive after a break feels calm, safe and enjoyable.

Important information For Phuket Diving Trips

Traveling on a dive boat may not be very comfortable for the elderly, pregnant women and small children. Most likely they will feel better in a hotel room or on the beach.

If you or your family members get motion sickness, we recommend taking an anti-motion sickness pill in advance at the hotel. When boarding the ship, you can take another pill and forget about seasickness for the whole day.
