Do you dream of looking where only a few ever descend, but the thought of nitrogen narcosis at depth makes you cautious?

We have great news - you can now take the TDI Trimix and TDI Trimix 75 programs at our dive center.

Why Trimix?

The main enemy of a deep-sea diver using air mixtures is nitrogen narcosis. Already at depths of around 30 meters, many divers find it harder to make the right decisions; they experience minor motor impairment and a narrowed field of vision. The situation worsens significantly with depth, especially when diving in cold water, overhead environments, and poor visibility.

Trimix (a mixture of oxygen, nitrogen, and helium) solves this problem once and for all. Helium replaces part of the nitrogen without producing a narcotic effect. The result? You dive deep while maintaining absolute clarity of mind, complete control over the situation, and flawless precision in your actions.

  • TDI Trimix (up to 60 meters): A step into the world of normoxic trimix. You will learn to plan and execute complex decompression dives using mixtures with an oxygen content of at least 18%.

  • TDI Trimix 75 (up to 75 meters): This course extends your capabilities down to 75 meters using mixtures where the oxygen content can start from 16%. It is the perfect tool for exploring deep wrecks and caves.

Training Base: Why Are We Heading to Song Hong?

As a rule, we cover the theory and basic skills in Phuket or Krabi, but for the final deep dives, we head to the famous karst lake Song Hong. Here is why it is the perfect choice for a trimix course:

  • Weather Independence: At sea, there is always a risk of encountering storms and strong currents. A long crossing to Racha Noi Island, even in mild waves, can easily cause seasickness, which hardly pairs well with deep trimix diving. Plus, fighting the current to get back to the bay from depth isn't for everyone.

  • Ideal Conditions: At Song Hong, the conditions are virtually perfect year-round. There are no waves or currents, and the visibility is almost always stable. This allows you to focus entirely on your training and procedures without being distracted by the whims of nature.

Instructor: The courses are conducted by Vsevolod Korobov, an experienced technical and cave instructor with hundreds of complex dives under his belt.

Training is available in both twinset and sidemount configurations. By the way, we now also offer rebreather courses up to the Helitrox level (up to 45 meters with trimix) on the innovative chest-mounted rebreather Dive Rite O2ptima CM (Choptima).
